What you will do

• Provide proposal and sales support, including steel weight and major member size estimates.
• Prepare structural design and fabrication specifications for each project.
• Review detailed designs including drawings, MTO, 3D models, and STAAD analysis.
• Evaluate fabrication shop detail drawings and sequence.
• Guide sub-contracted structural engineers and mentor junior engineers.
• Perform international travel up to 15% annually for project requirements.

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years experience with refining/petrochemical industry design codes (AISC, ASCE 7, IBC, ACI, API).
• Minimum 10 years experience with STAAD modeling, analysis, design, and troubleshooting.
• Minimum 10 years experience performing wind load design for petrochemical industry structures.
• Minimum 10 years experience performing seismic design and dynamic analysis for structures over 60 ft.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 15% annually in 1 to 2 week durations.
