TL;DR

Associate Pricing Director (Academic): Driving revenue growth and optimizing pricing strategies for subscription journals and eBooks with an accent on value-based pricing and AI-driven automation. Focus on implementing advanced AI algorithms, automating pricing metrics, and aligning cross-functional stakeholders to accelerate delivery.

Location: Must be based within a commutable distance of the London Blackfriars office (minimum 3 days per week in-person, including visits to Milton Park, Oxfordshire).

What you will do

  • Manage strategic pricing projects, including annual updates, new propositions, and innovative business models.
  • Implement pricing strategies and define automated tracking for key performance metrics.
  • Develop and deploy AI algorithms and machine learning tools to optimize pricing and predict market trends.
  • Collaborate with Editorial, Commercial, and Marketing teams to align pricing with product positioning.
  • Provide regular status reports and strategic briefings to the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Oversee the Strategic Pricing Analytics Manager via a dotted line relationship.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in developing pricing strategies that drive revenue in the data information services industry.
  • Advanced analytical skills in SQL, Python, and R, and proficiency with Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong bias towards using AI and automation tools for data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to lead and influence diverse teams without direct authority.
  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
  • Must be located within a commutable distance of London.
