TL;DR
Analytics Engineer (Python/SQL): Building scalable data pipelines, analytics datasets, and data foundations that support product decisions across consumer products and client surfaces with an accent on data quality, event-based data, and reliable ETL workflows. Focus on deploying Airflow pipelines, supporting CI/CD and automated testing, designing anomaly detection, and enabling data democratization through automation and tooling.

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States; hybrid with three days in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates must live in the United States. A relocation bonus is available for candidates moving to Denver.

Base compensation: $113,000–$132,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

  • Build scalable data pipelines, analytics datasets, and data foundations for product and business decisions.
  • Collaborate with Decision Scientists, Data Scientists, engineering, data engineering, and analytics teams to aggregate, normalize, validate, and document data.
  • Identify, test, and maintain event-based data, business logic, rollups, and aggregation tables throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Deploy and maintain Airflow pipelines while supporting Databricks Asset Bundles migration, CI/CD, and automated testing with GitHub Actions.
  • Build data democratization tools, automated alerting, and anomaly detection workflows.
  • Own multiple projects end to end while minimizing technical debt and exploring AI-supported engineering tools.

Requirements

  • Must live in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • At least 3 years of practical experience in data engineering supporting analytics teams, analytics engineering, or BI development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Production experience with Python, SQL, ETL, and data pipelines.
  • Experience applying data quality principles, including schema validation and data contracts.
  • Experience troubleshooting data anomalies and pipeline issues, supporting CI/CD, automated testing, cluster configuration, and data lifecycle management.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Databricks or similar cloud data warehouse platforms.
  • Familiarity with Databricks Asset Bundles, Looker, or LookML.
  • Experience with AI-supported development tools such as Claude or Copilot.
