What you will do

• Design, optimize, and maintain complex TSQL stored procedures, functions, and views for production applications.
• Partner with application engineers to review SQL changes and mitigate performance or scalability risks.
• Analyze query execution plans and implement indexing strategies to ensure consistent performance.
• Manage structural database changes, schema versioning, and controlled deployments across environments.
• Diagnose and remediate production database incidents impacting availability or stability.
• Provide technical mentorship and contribute to database standards and architecture reviews.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in senior-level database administration and SQL development.
• Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) and TSQL.
• Strong background in production database ownership, including performance tuning and disaster recovery.
• Experience with SSAS cubes, version control (Git), and CI/CD deployment workflows.
• Working knowledge of Azure data services (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory).
• Familiarity with regulated data-handling requirements such as HIPAA or HITRUST.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare technology or other regulated industries.
• Microsoft certification (e.g., Azure Database Administrator Associate).
• Experience with schema migration tools like Redgate Flyway.
