Java Tech Lead (Fintech)

Java Tech Lead (Fintech): Leading technical development and architecture for high-load financial systems with an accent on Java 21, Spring, and Kafka. Location: Remote with occasional visits to the office in Warsaw, Poland. Relocation support is available.

Salary: Up to 180 PLN/H net + VAT (approx. 30,240 PLN/month)

What you will do

• Lead high-level design and architecture decisions for Java-based systems.
• Mentor team members and conduct technical interviews.
• Collaborate with product owners to translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Drive refactoring efforts and promote operational excellence.
• Participate in daily development tasks and code reviews.
• Optimize processes in coordination with the Java Competence Lead.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Java development.
• Strong proficiency in Java 21, Spring, and Hibernate.
• Experience with REST API design, SQL, MySQL, Kafka, and SOAP.
• Very good level of English.
• Proven experience in a technical leadership role.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring Boot migration.
• Hands-on experience with DDD or hexagonal architecture.
• Experience in decoupling monolithic applications.
• Fintech industry background.
