TL;DR

Senior Java Engineer (Fintech): Extending and supporting critical trading-middleware services for a real-time dealing platform with an accent on business enhancements and technical quality. Focus on delivering high-quality Java applications, driving engineering standards, and coordinating improvements across the UK Tech division.

Location: Hybrid in Kraków, Poland (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Salary: starting from 22,000 PLN

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications for the trading platform.
  • Extend and support critical Trading Middleware services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to deliver best-in-class trading features.
  • Advocate for modern engineering practices such as pair programming and test-driven development (TDD).
  • Mentor and support less experienced team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Oversee and coordinate engineering quality improvements to reduce tech debt and support costs.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in Core Java and Spring Framework.
  • Proficiency with Spring Boot and Microservice Architecture.
  • Knowledge of Design and Architectural patterns.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Good knowledge of Git and GitLab.
  • Must be based in or able to work from Kraków, Poland on a hybrid basis (3 days onsite).
