TL;DR
Senior Java Developer (Fintech): Building and optimizing high-volume, high-performance streaming services for critical financial data with an accent on reliability, security, and accuracy. Focus on designing scalable microservices, implementing TDD/BDD/DDD practices, and leading technical innovation within a new streaming technology team.
Location: Must be based in Kraków, Poland (Hybrid: 3 days in office required).
Salary: From 18,000 PLN.

What you will do
- Design and maintain scalable, high-performance Java services for real-time price streaming.
- Collaborate with product and technical stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical designs.
- Write clean, maintainable code and perform rigorous code reviews to ensure high quality.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices.
- Troubleshoot complex performance issues and optimize database and application interactions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle within a cross-functional team.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience in core Java, Spring, and Hibernate.
- Deep understanding of JVM internals and object-oriented design patterns.
- Proven experience with RESTful web services and Apache Tomcat.
- Strong commitment to agile methodologies, TDD, BDD, and Continuous Delivery.
- Experience with large-scale applications and mentoring team members.
- Must be based in or able to commute to Kraków, Poland.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker).
- Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit or Mockito.
