Senior Cloud Engineer (GCP)

Location: Remote across Poland; contract engagement

Company

European out-of-home delivery company operating an intelligent parcel-locker network across multiple countries.

What you will do

• Design and implement a cloud-native platform architecture on GCP.
• Build scalable guardrails for multi-team and multi-environment setups with compliance requirements.
• Create reusable infrastructure that enables self-service provisioning.
• Define cloud governance through IAM strategies, organizational policies, and policy-as-code.
• Write design documents and represent technical divisions in cross-team and leadership forums.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with GCP.
• Production Kubernetes experience, including networking, security, tenancy, and lifecycle management.
• Terraform experience at the module-authoring level.
• Solid networking fundamentals, including VPC design, CIDR planning, DNS, and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience in compliance-driven environments such as SOC 2 or PCI-DSS, plus GitOps and observability stack experience.
• Clear technical communication skills, including writing and defending design documents.

Nice to have

• Experience designing cloud foundations for organizations rather than individual projects.
• Infrastructure-as-a-product mindset focused on users, SLOs, and developer experience.
• Ability to build scalable patterns, gain cross-team buy-in, and raise the technical bar.
