Remote SRE/DevOps Engineer (GCP, Kubernetes)

Hellotickets is a young startup building a global marketplace for travel experiences, operating across 15 countries with local currencies and payment methods.

What you will do

• Own production reliability through SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, on-call operations, incident response, and blameless post-mortems.
• Operate and evolve the GKE platform, including Kubernetes upgrades, autoscaling, right-sizing, Helm, and secrets management.
• Maintain Terraform and GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or similar tools for safe, observable deployments.
• Build Datadog observability with SLO-based alerts, dashboards, tracing, and root-cause diagnostics.
• Operate Cloud SQL PostgreSQL, including backups, restore drills, connection pooling, and performance analysis.
• Improve edge security, infrastructure costs, and developer self-service through Cloudflare, Cloud Armor, IAM, CI scanning, templates, and runbooks.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering with production ownership.
• Strong production Kubernetes experience; GKE is preferred.
• Hands-on Terraform and experience with at least one major cloud provider, preferably GCP.
• Solid Linux and networking knowledge, including TCP, HTTP, TLS, DNS, load balancing, and CDN.
• Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana, plus CI/CD, GitOps, and PostgreSQL operations.
• English and Russian language skills are required.

Nice to have

• Go, Cloudflare Workers, TeamCity, OpenResty, Kong or Traefik.
• FinOps, load testing, or chaos testing experience.
