Sr. Qualitative Research & Evaluation Team Lead (Energy)

Location: Remote; based in Louisville, Colorado, or Toronto, Ontario, with other locations in the United States considered

Salary: $103,000–$174,000 base salary annually, plus potential discretionary annual bonus

What you will do

• Lead qualitative energy program evaluation and market characterization teams.
• Manage research and evaluation projects from concept through implementation, including plans, budgets, deliverables, and presentations.
• Oversee surveys, in-depth interviews, focus groups, sampling strategies, outreach, data analysis, and reporting.
• Coordinate with quantitative-focused teams and lead client and stakeholder meetings.
• Develop existing and new client business, including lead generation and proposal support.
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff, perform quality checks, and support technical report writing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social or environmental sciences, public policy, economics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience evaluating Demand-Side Management programs; 10+ years is preferred.
• Expert knowledge of energy programs and qualitative evaluation and research methodologies.
• Experience serving as the primary client contact and leading teams or consulting engagements.
• Strong writing, communication, computer, prioritization, and client relationship skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint; experience with net-to-gross evaluation and program attribution research is preferred.
