What you will do

• Lead a team of qualitative research professionals focusing on process evaluation and market characterization studies.
• Manage the full lifecycle of qualitative evaluation projects, including planning, budgeting, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with quantitative teams and lead stakeholder and client meetings.
• Oversee data collection efforts including customer surveys, in-depth interviews, and focus groups.
• Develop data collection instruments, sampling strategies, and technical reports with actionable recommendations.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and support proposal development for existing and new clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social/Environmental Sciences, Public Policy, or Economics.
• At least 5 years of experience with evaluation of Demand-Side Management (DSM) programs.
• Expertise in energy program-specific qualitative evaluation and research methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience acting as the primary point of contact for client projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Must be based in the USA or Canada.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree or higher in a related field.
• 10+ years of experience with DSM program evaluation.
• Experience as a qualitative energy consultant and leading teams.
• Experience with net-to-gross evaluation and program attribution surveys.
