What you will do

• Develop and implement predictive models across all major sporting codes.
• Prototype, evaluate, and optimize algorithms for calculating sporting outcome probabilities.
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary Agile squad of software engineers, data scientists, and product managers.
• Operate within a squad model to maintain strong ownership of the team's domain and business priorities.
• Adhere to core engineering principles of aligned autonomy and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computational Statistics, Machine Learning, or another STEM subject.
• Strong understanding of probability and statistics fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Python or other scripting/programming languages (R, Matlab, etc).
• Experience with machine learning algorithms such as Monte Carlo simulation, neural networks, logistic regression, and random forest.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model based in London, UK.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of sports rules, strategies, and sports betting.
• MLOps experience covering the full life cycle from model creation to deployment (Gitlab, AWS, Docker).
• Proficiency in Rust, C++, or other high-performance computing languages.
• Experience with real-time systems and data engineering.
