What you will do

• Assist in preparing client financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and trends affecting tax reporting.
• Collaborate with tax preparers to ensure alignment with tax return requirements and compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes for clients.
• Ensure financial reports comply with GAAP and tax regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and assist with audit preparation.

Requirements

• Location: Tucson, AZ, United States
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience including financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax principles.
• Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero, and MS Excel.

Nice to have

• Experience in public accounting or tax preparation firm environment.
• Familiarity with financial reporting for small businesses, partnerships, and individuals.
• Knowledge of tax return preparation processes and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
