Salary: $55,000 – $70,000 annually

What you will do

• Prepare client financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and trends affecting tax reporting.
• Collaborate with tax preparers to ensure alignment with compliance standards and return requirements.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes for various clients.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary data and resolve accounting inquiries.
• Coordinate with external auditors and assist in audit preparation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience in financial statement preparation.
• Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero, and MS Excel.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Tucson, AZ.

Nice to have

• Experience in a public accounting or tax preparation firm environment.
• Familiarity with financial reporting for small businesses, partnerships, and individuals.
• Knowledge of tax return preparation processes and required documentation.
