TL;DR

CAS Manager (Accounting): Oversee Client Accounting Services engagements and manage accounting teams for outsourced services with an accent on accurate financial reporting, month-end closes, and client advisory. Focus on reviewing statements and reconciliations, coaching staff, resolving issues, and implementing process improvements.

Location: Offices in Somerset, NJ; Union, NJ; Wall, NJ; Clark, NJ; and NYC, NY. Office, hybrid, or remote work environment; on-site in Somerset, NJ. Limited travel for client meetings.

Salary: $110K – $150K

What you will do

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close for client portfolios
  • Review financial statements, reconciliations, and schedules for accuracy and compliance
  • Manage, coach, and evaluate Senior Accountants and Accounting Associates
  • Serve as primary client contact for accounting needs and issue resolution
  • Manage workflows, deadlines, and resource allocation across engagements
  • Support process improvements and accounting best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Demonstrated experience managing accounting teams and client relationships
  • Experience overseeing month-end close and outsourced accounting services
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office

Nice to have

  • Public accounting or outsourced accounting experience
  • CPA license or progress toward CPA
  • Experience providing CFO-level or advisory support
