What you will do

• Support acoustical design and noise control engineering for diverse infrastructure projects.
• Conduct environmental noise assessments, including ambient noise surveys and noise modeling.
• Develop equipment sound level specifications and mitigation requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and equipment manufacturers to deliver cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for agency and public review.
• Perform noise emissions performance testing to demonstrate regulatory and contractual compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science with specialized training in acoustics or noise control.
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in acoustical consulting.
• Familiarity with environmental noise regulations, permitting requirements, and land use compatibility criteria.
• Proficiency in environmental noise modeling software and advanced computer skills (Word, Excel).
• Strong technical writing and communication skills for reporting to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must be authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship available).

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering or science.
• Familiarity with GIS software.
• Experience supporting client, agency, and public-facing discussions.
