What you will do

• Develop and implement highly scalable, secure, and concurrent software systems.
• Build REST APIs using Scala WebService SDKs such as Play, http4s, or Spray.
• Utilize Akka for building concurrent and distributed systems.
• Manage and configure web servers, specifically nginx.
• Collaborate within an Agile framework to deliver business initiatives.
• Work with AWS Cloud Infrastructure and Linux Operating Systems.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in Scala server backend development (specifically in Services, not Data Analytics).
• Deep understanding of Scala programming, JVM, and sbt.
• Willingness to embrace Pure Functional Programming.
• Proficiency with REST APIs and Akka.

Nice to have

• Experience with Scala SDKs like ScalaZ, Shapeless, or CATS.
• Knowledge of Docker containerization technologies.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, or Hbase.
• Skills in scripting and automation programming.
• Experience with performance testing tools like Gatling or Jmeter.
