Senior Backend Engineer (Java, Fintech)

What you will do

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA teams to design and deliver high-impact features.
• Architect and build scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop clean, maintainable, well-documented, reliable, and testable code.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs with robust error handling and graceful degradation.
• Improve system performance and developer experience through automation and refactoring.
• Diagnose complex issues, contribute to code reviews and architecture discussions, and document technical decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend development.
• Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with knowledge of backend architecture and engineering best practices.
• Experience designing, building, and scaling web services, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, relational databases, and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Exposure to frontend technologies such as AngularJS or React.
