TL;DR

What you will do

  • Conduct job evaluations and market pricing analyses using major compensation survey platforms.
  • Benchmark roles across functions and levels to inform pay decisions.
  • Develop and maintain salary structures, pay ranges, and job hierarchies.
  • Analyze internal pay equity and identify trends or anomalies.
  • Support compensation review cycles, including merit and bonus adjustments.
  • Prepare and present compensation recommendations to HR Business Partners and leadership.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of compensation experience with expertise in market pricing and benchmarking.
  • Proficiency in at least one major compensation survey platform (e.g., Radford/Aon, Mercer, WTW).
  • Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data modeling.
  • Solid understanding of job architecture, pay structures, and FLSA classification.
  • Experience working in consulting, professional services, or multi-client environments.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, project-based environment.

Nice to have

  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or other relevant HR certification.
  • Experience supporting pay equity analyses and total rewards program design.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms like Workday, UKG, or Paylocity.
  • Experience with PE-backed, high-growth, or multi-state organizations.
