What you will do

• Prepare and review complex monthly financial statements and reports at local and corporate levels.
• Assist in the monthly close process, including journal entry preparation and complex account reconciliations.
• Analyze transactions and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors and corporate staff.
• Provide leadership and direction to team members on accounting matters.
• Identify and implement process improvements and participate in ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Minimum of five years of related work experience, preferably with a public company.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Oracle and Workday experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or currently pursuing CPA.
• Experience in the insurance industry.
