Location: Hybrid (Lagos, Ibadan, Owerri, Calabar, Benin City, Nigeria)

What you will do

  • Originate and close merchant and SME loan deals across sectors including FMCG, Electronics, and Retail.
  • Manage end-to-end loan sales execution: prospecting, on-boarding, credit documentation, and disbursement coordination.
  • Build and maintain a high-quality loan book, ensuring strong utilization and minimal delinquency.
  • Drive adoption of POS terminals to enable lending and transaction visibility for merchants.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs across loan disbursement and portfolio quality.
  • Track market and competitor lending trends to provide strategic insights for product and pricing strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 6–8 years of experience in merchant lending, SME lending, business banking, or fintech credit sales.
  • Strong understanding of cashflow-based lending and merchant underwriting.
  • Experience acquiring and managing a lending portfolio of at least N2B+.
  • Proven track record of loan book growth and sales target achievement.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
