What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy ML and Generative AI solutions leveraging foundation models from OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, and Azure.
• Adapt and productionize global AI models developed by Zurich Group for specific Canadian business use cases.
• Manage the full ML lifecycle, including data preparation, feature engineering, training, validation, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to optimize ML-ready datasets and feature pipelines on Databricks using Python and SQL.
• Partner with business and product stakeholders to identify and implement high-value AI use cases.
• Analyze experiments via A/B testing and automate ML workflows to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data science, applied machine learning, or AI product development.
• Proven track record of shipping ML models into production.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and hands-on experience with Databricks.
• Experience with both traditional ML and Generative AI use cases.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid (3 days per week in-person) in Toronto or Montreal.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder partnership abilities.

Nice to have

• Experience operationalizing centrally developed ML models in a local business context.
• Familiarity with model monitoring, performance tracking, and retraining strategies.
• Experience working in regulated industries or enterprise environments.
• Exposure to responsible AI and model risk considerations.
