What you will do

• Develop and execute a city-wide strategy, including monthly show frequency, themes, and neighborhood targeting.
• Lead the curation and booking of high-quality, diverse artists and unique venues.
• Drive ticket sales and brand awareness through self-directed local marketing and promotional tactics.
• Manage event financial performance and seek local business sponsorships and private event opportunities.
• Ensure high-quality event operations and hospitality for artists, venues, and guests.
• Collaborate with the Global Communities team and other local leaders to amplify the Sofar brand.

Requirements

• Must be based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
• 3-5 years of experience in live event curation, production, and promotions.
• Proven track record of closing partnership deals and selling event sponsorships.
• Deep connections to the local cultural scene and experience building community.
• Ability to work autonomously with exceptional time management and communication skills.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends as required by live event schedules.
