Salary: $147,400 – $220,900

What you will do

• Drive the development of new plastic materials and processes to meet structural and aesthetic requirements.
• Collaborate with product design and industrial design groups on material selection and design feasibility.
• Foster relationships with suppliers to influence product development and anticipate future material needs.
• Implement strategies to deliver environmental goals and reduce the carbon footprint of plastics.
• Manage multiple parallel projects with a high level of autonomy and effective communication.

Requirements

• MS in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Organic Chemistry, or 10+ years of experience in the plastics industry.
• Strong fundamentals in plastic material properties, part design, and fabrication.
• Experience with plastics manufacturing processes such as injection molding, 3D printing, or compression molding.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using statistical tools and techniques.
