What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of software quality and automation engineers responsible for connected applications.
• Own the quality strategy for connected application features, balancing manual validation and automation.
• Drive test planning and execution for customer-facing experiences such as TCPS, Subscription Manager, and MyBrand.
• Partner with software development, product, and design teams to clarify requirements and align test ownership.
• Lead issue triage, defect prioritization, and root-cause analysis to ensure launch readiness.
• Build and scale automation frameworks for smoke, sanity, and regression workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of engineering experience in software quality, validation, or test automation.
• 5+ years of experience leading or managing technical teams.
• Experience leading quality efforts for customer-facing software systems across development and integration environments.
• Must not require immigration sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, TN, STEM OPT) now or in the future.
• Must be able to report to the Warren, MI location at least three times per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with GM software development and issue-management processes.
• Proficiency with Jira, Xray, and automated dashboards for execution visibility.
• Hands-on experience with software test automation for pre-build and regression workflows.
• Experience validating software across bench, lab, and vehicle environments.
• Familiarity with CCU/VCU validation and infotainment systems.
