Salary: $198K – $235K

What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable backend services for authentication, authorization, and token lifecycle management.
• Partner with Product, Security, and Legal teams to build foundations for safety and privacy.
• Shape long-term identity strategies and contribute architectural perspectives.
• Mentor fellow engineers and foster a high-trust, collaborative environment.
• Lead discussions on system design, performance, and scalability.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in Ruby, Java, Scala, Python, or Go.
• Production experience with MySQL and NoSQL databases such as Redis or Cassandra.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and technologies like Kafka, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Experience with or readiness to learn OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and WebAuthn.
