Location: Must be a U.S. citizen operating on U.S. soil, no dual citizenship. Onsite in McLean, VA or Bellevue, WA.

What you will do

• Design and operate Python-based playbooks and agents on the Luna platform to automate CSIRT workflows.
• Partner with security analysts to translate incident response tradecraft into trustworthy, auditable automation.
• Extend agentic capabilities like LLM-backed actions and tool use into the GovCloud environment.
• Use AI-assisted development tools intentionally as a core part of the daily engineering workflow.
• Drive end-to-end ownership of services, including scoping, deployment, observability, and on-call support.
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews, testing, and secure-by-default practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with production Python.
• Must be a U.S. citizen (born or naturalized) with no dual citizenship.
• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD in regulated deployments.
• Demonstrated AI-first approach to engineering using tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
• Advanced prompt engineering skills and ability to cultivate reliable system context.
• Experience with public cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Nice to have

• Experience building on SOAR platforms like XSOAR or Tines.
• Background in incident response, threat hunting, or detection engineering.
• Familiarity with hirify.global GovCloud, FedRAMP, or IL5 environments.
• Hands-on experience building agentic systems with function calling and retrieval-augmented systems.
