What you will do

• Lead technical planning and system architecture for AI-powered products and new 0-to-1 initiatives.
• Develop high-quality code and rapidly build proof-of-concepts to validate architectural choices.
• Mentor backend engineers and resolve systemic technical debt to raise engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with Product and Design leadership to translate ambiguous business goals into buildable roadmaps.
• Integrate cutting-edge AI workflows and tools into the daily development cycle.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional engineering experience with a strong focus on web development.
• Proven track record at a senior-to-staff level owning system design for high-scale products.
• Deep expertise in Kotlin (TypeScript experience is a plus).
• Solid understanding of AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs and AI models into customer-facing products.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in New York City.
