Staff Software Engineer (LegalTech)

Location: On-site in New York City (Union Square office)

Compensation: $242,250 – $300,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Architect, design, and ship robust features with a focus on speed, quality, and reliability.
• Lead engineers through the full software development lifecycle from ideation to production.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Champion automation and process improvements to accelerate feature delivery.
• Mentor engineers and foster a high-trust, collaborative environment.
• Ensure code quality, documentation, and compliance standards are maintained.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work on-site in New York City.
• Extensive experience in software engineering with a history of shipping features in complex systems.
• Deep understanding of system design, software architecture, and modern development practices.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams while maintaining high quality.
• Exceptional communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Advocacy for continuous delivery, automation, and process efficiency.
