What you will do

• Act as the initial point of contact for youth, families, and community partners seeking mental health services.
• Conduct professional telephone interviews and intake assessments to determine service needs.
• Coordinate care and negotiate service delivery with internal clinical providers and external collateral agencies.
• Maintain thorough documentation and write clear, concise reports using agency databases.
• Apply knowledge of child development and family systems theory to provide basic counseling interventions.
• Ensure compliance with provincial legislation and agency guidelines regarding children's mental health services.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, or related field (or College Diploma in Social Services/Child and Youth Work).
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in intensive case management or community-based support for high-risk youth.
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle for travel within the District of Algoma.
• Clear Criminal Records Check and full immunization status.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and clinical information databases.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends.

Nice to have

• Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
• Experience with the SDQ (Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire).
