What you will do

• Lead and supervise laboratory operations during assigned shifts, ensuring safe and efficient performance.
• Perform laboratory analyses at all stages of manufacturing to support quality control of raw materials and finished products.
• Coordinate shift schedules, assign responsibilities, and provide oversight for daily laboratory activities.
• Maintain and calibrate sampling, analytical, and monitoring equipment to ensure reliable operation.
• Conduct metallurgical analyses and failure investigations of mill equipment to identify root causes.
• Analyze QA/QC data to assess product quality and contribute to process optimization and cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Metallurgy, Material Science, or Engineering is preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience working in a similar industrial or laboratory environment.
• Knowledge of ASTM standards, testing methods, and ISO 17025 laboratory certification requirements.
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts and rotating weekends.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
