Auditor (Food Safety)

TL;DR

Auditor (Food Safety): Delivering and leading food safety audits for various accredited standards with an accent on BRCGS and FSSC 22000. Focus on producing high-quality audit reports, managing corrective actions, and driving improvements through the Quality Management System.

Location: UK & Mainland Europe (specifically East Midlands, West Midlands, London, South East, South West). Regular UK and European travel required.

What you will do

• Lead and deliver audits for accredited food safety standards such as BRCGS and FSSC 22000.
• Manage audit reports and ensure the close-out of corrective actions according to KPIs.
• Support internal auditing and drive continuous improvements via the QMS.
• Provide technical training to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure technical accuracy.
• Participate in standard-setting committees and manage certification complaints.

Requirements

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in food industry technical or quality roles.
• HACCP and Lead Auditor certifications.
• Experience conducting at least 10 audits (15+ days), including 5 BRCGS Food audits.
• Must be located in the UK (East/West Midlands, London, South East, South West) or Mainland Europe.
• Ability to perform regular travel across the UK and Europe.

Nice to have

• Experience with IFS, McDonald’s SQMS, Non-GMO, or BRCGS Agents & Brokers schemes.
• Background in project management or professional training.
