Research Manager (AI): Delivering high-impact research programs to uncover the reasons behind win, loss, and churn to sharpen GTM strategies with an accent on scaling qualitative research through AI. Focus on training and tuning AI interviewers, conducting high-signal human interviews, and transforming findings into actionable executive narratives.
Location: Hybrid in Vancouver, BC or Toronto, ON (Office-First: Mon, Wed, Thu in office)
Salary: CA$75K – CA$105K + Equity

What you will do
- Own end-to-end research program delivery, including onboarding, interview strategy, analysis, and reporting.
- Conduct high-signal win, loss, and churn interviews where human judgment is essential for complex buyer situations.
- Design, train, and continuously improve AI interviewers using real data and feedback loops to scale qualitative research.
- Transform interview findings into compelling research briefs and narratives delivered via the platform.
- Partner with customer stakeholders and CSMs to drive renewal and expansion outcomes.
- Identify workflow improvements and contribute to the evolution of the human/AI interview model.
Requirements
- Expertise in qualitative research, including probing, active listening, and narrative development.
- Ability to design, train, and iterate on AI interviewers based on expert judgment and feedback.
- Strong communication skills for interviewing, writing, and customer-facing presentations.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent customer engagements with strong organizational skills.
- Analytical mindset capable of connecting qualitative insights to structured data.
- Must be based in Vancouver or Toronto to support the hybrid office schedule.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with LLM prompt design, evaluation, and failure analysis.
- Experience configuring AI agents, workflows, or automation tools for research and analysis.
- Exposure to JTBD, buyer journey, or Voice-of-Customer (VoC) programs.
- 5+ years in B2B tech research or experience in customer-facing consulting/analyst roles.
