What you will do

• Own the reliability, performance, and security of cloud infrastructure on AWS, serving as the primary accountable party for uptime and incident response.
• Define and execute the technical roadmap for the cloud infrastructure squad, prioritizing investments in Kubernetes, Terraform, Istio, and observability tooling.
• Lead, hire, and develop a high-performing team of infrastructure engineers through rigorous feedback and clear expectations.
• Partner with product, data, and security teams to enable fast, safe, and scalable delivery across the organization.
• Establish and monitor key reliability metrics (SLOs, SLAs, error budgets) to drive platform quality improvements.
• Manage quarterly planning and delivery, translating engineering priorities into actionable roadmaps.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US (eligible for US benefits and occasional travel to NYC).
• 5+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure or platform engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in an engineering management role leading cloud-based teams.
• Deep expertise with AWS and modern tooling, including Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Working familiarity with Istio, Postgres, and NATS.
• Proven track record of scaling secure, cost-efficient cloud platforms and managing incident response processes.
