What you will do

• Elicit, analyze, and document complex business and technical requirements.
• Translate user needs into detailed functional and non-functional specifications.
• Collaborate with data engineers and developers to refine backlog items.
• Map current and future state processes and define data flows.
• Support prioritization and roadmap planning with the Product Manager.
• Ensure alignment with government standards and support live service operations.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK
• Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst in a technical or data-focused environment.
• Experience delivering digital or data products within UK government or public sector organizations.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, APIs, integrations, and cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation.
• Experience with Data Products and Data Mesh Architecture.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SQL and ability to write queries.
