IT Functional Analyst (Banking & Payments)

Location: Must be located in Belgium; hybrid work with 70% from home

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and process analysis, focusing on payments and financial flows.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and align them with technical teams.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support solution design and validate delivered functionality against requirements.
• Provide end-user training and support, create documentation, and identify process and system improvements.

Requirements

• Located in Belgium and fluent in Dutch and English.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field.
• Experience as a Functional or Business Analyst with a strong understanding of business processes and IT systems.
• Strong knowledge of payment fundamentals, including authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, ecosystem roles, and merchant and bank processes.
• Experience translating business needs into functional specifications and process documentation.
• Experience with SQL, basic data analysis, enterprise systems such as ERP and CRM, and Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
