Subject Manager (Education)

Subject Manager (Education): Lead and manage the assessment of Environmental Systems and Societies with an accent on reliability, accuracy, and fairness of assessments. Location: Hybrid working opportunity (1 day in the office per week), based in Cardiff, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Lead and manage the assessment processes for Environmental Systems and Societies.
• Manage international teams of senior examiners for examination paper authoring and grade awards.
• Implement and monitor effective standardisation processes to ensure marking accuracy.
• Collaborate with the Education directorate and represent the IB at international conferences.
• Plan and manage expenses related to assessment for designated subjects.
• Provide the assessment perspective during curriculum reviews.

Requirements

• Degree-level qualification relevant to the subject area.
• Significant post-qualification experience in educational assessment, teaching, or research.
• Must be based in or able to commute to the Cardiff Global Centre.
• Excellent spoken and written English skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to analyze statistical information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice to have

• Ability to work in French, Spanish, German, Japanese, or Korean.
• Prior experience in examining or a similar management role.
