Senior Mechanical Engineer (Networking)

What you will do

• Design next-generation modules and chassis using Creo 3D CAD.
• Structure and manage Bills of Materials (BOM) and product releases using Agile PLM tools.
• Collaborate with ECAD teams to optimize PCB placement and verify final designs.
• Partner with CMs and suppliers to address DFM concerns and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
• Conduct lab-based prototype testing, debugging, and verification against MCAD designs.
• Provide 3D models for thermal simulations and airflow testing.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of professional experience in mechanical design.
• Legal entitlement to work in Australia (Citizenship, PR, or valid work rights).
• Proficiency in PTC Creo (ProEngineer).
• Experience designing sheet metal and plastic parts.
• Ability to lift weight upwards of 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience in mechanical design of computer/network equipment for data centers.
• Proficiency with Mechanica (Creo Simulate) or PDMLink (Windchill).
• Experience with liquid cooling systems and thermal simulation.
• Hands-on experience with shock, vibe, and EMC testing.
