What you will do

• Lead design direction for cooling, liquid cooling (direct-to-chip), chilled-water distribution, and fire protection systems.
• Review and direct construction documentation and drawings produced by external engineering firms.
• Develop strategies for prefabricated and modular mechanical delivery to accelerate deployment and reduce onsite labor.
• Act as the primary technical interface for external developers and vendors across the APAC portfolio.
• Conduct site visits and support the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design for data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Deep knowledge of Australian mechanical, hydraulic, and fire codes (NCC, AS/NZS standards) and ASHRAE guidance.
• Expertise in chilled-water systems and direct-to-chip liquid cooling.
• Hands-on experience with modular mechanical infrastructure and offsite manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to travel up to 30% to data center sites across the APAC region.

Nice to have

• 15+ years of relevant experience in mission-critical facility design.
• Experience delivering data centers in multiple APAC markets such as Singapore, Japan, Korea, or New Zealand.
• Proficiency with thermal-hydraulic modeling software (AFT Fathom, Cadence 6SigmaET, ANSYS) and CFD.
• Proficiency with Revit MEP or AutoCAD MEP.
