What you will do

• Define the reference architecture and design patterns for multi-agent orchestration and human-in-the-loop workflows tailored to healthcare.
• Build AI development infrastructure, including MCP server tooling and cross-customer pattern libraries.
• Design and implement production evaluation systems to measure agent performance and derive actionable insights.
• Establish security guardrails for agent permissions, data access, and PHI handling in multi-tenant environments.
• Create observability architecture for tracing reasoning chains and monitoring tool invocations.
• Mentor engineering teams and drive adoption of trunk-based development and CI/CD standards.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of technical leadership.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems design and high-availability services.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services (compute, networking, AI/ML).
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Seattle, Santa Barbara, or Kansas City.
• Proven ability to drive technical strategy across multiple engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM-based applications, agent frameworks, or Amazon Bedrock.
• Healthcare industry experience including HIPAA compliance and PHI data handling.
• Background in platform engineering for multi-tenant SaaS products.
• Experience with security architecture in regulated industries.
