Quality Assurance Specialist Defence (Aerospace): Supporting quality assurance for defence projects through development, production, customer acceptance testing, and First Article Inspections with an accent on aerospace quality standards, deviation management, and corrective actions. Focus on facilitating design deviation committees, conducting audits, analyzing damage and non-conformances, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, EN 9100, and APQP requirements.
Location: Augsburg headquarters or Kourou launch site; mobile working is available according to the area of responsibility.

What you will do
- Provide quality assurance support for defence projects throughout development and production.
- Conduct product acceptance tests and audits with customers and prepare acceptance documentation.
- Process quality assurance activities, including approvals and non-conformance reports.
- Chair design deviation committees and assess deviations and damage analyses.
- Initiate and monitor corrective and preventive actions and oversee internal and external quality processes.
- Prepare and review First Article Inspections.
Requirements
- Technician or master craftsman qualification, preferably in aerospace or mechanical engineering, or comparable knowledge.
- Several years of professional experience in quality assurance.
- Experience in mechanical engineering; knowledge of pressure equipment is desirable.
- Knowledge of APQP tools and quality methods including 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and EN 9100; AQAP 2105/2110 knowledge is an advantage.
- Good written and spoken English at a minimum B1 level is required. Experience with MS Office and SAP, plus an independent, structured, and team-oriented working style.
Nice to have
- Specialist knowledge of pressure equipment.
- Knowledge of AQAP 2105 and AQAP 2110.
