Quality Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Investigate and diagnose returned robots, analyzing mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
• Perform root-cause analyses and document findings in a structured manner.
• Plan and execute tests to reproduce and validate failure causes.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to implement design improvements.
• Prepare statistical analyses of field failure trends to identify patterns.
• Contribute to the development of software tools for testing and diagnosing robot components.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Mechatronics or equivalent technical apprenticeship.
• Strong knowledge in control engineering and programming (Python, C/C++, or MATLAB/Simulink).
• Expertise in electronics, sensor technology, and drive systems.
• Experience with problem-solving methodologies like 8D, Ishikawa, FMEA, or 5-Why.
• English: Very good skills required.
• German: Good skills required.
• Ability to work on-site in Metzingen / Riederich.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of statistics or data analysis.
• Experience with embedded systems or industrial communication protocols.
