What you will do

• Design and build backend services and APIs that power the analytics platform and client-facing products.
• Improve and extend data pipelines ingesting millions of data points from gaming platforms and partners.
• Strengthen reliability, observability, performance, and cost efficiency across all systems.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and shape scalable technical solutions.
• Partner with backend, data, and infrastructure engineers to solve cross-functional problems.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Cursor in daily workflows.

Requirements

• Senior professional experience building and operating production Python services.
• Strong proficiency with Flask (or similar Python web frameworks) and REST API design.
• Deep understanding of analytical data systems, including BigQuery and PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing and operating production-grade data pipelines or ETL workflows.
• Must be based in the Netherlands.
• Availability to work hybrid from the Amsterdam office 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployment.
• Knowledge of task queues such as Celery.
• Experience with gaming platform APIs (Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, Nintendo, or Epic).
• Experience with dbt at a meaningful scale.
• Interest in the games industry.
