What you will do

• Build and improve core HR workflows in Node.js, focusing on rules-heavy domains.
• Design and maintain scalable backend services for organizations of various sizes.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and maintainability of existing features.
• Refactor and modernize the platform to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Occasionally contribute to the React frontend to enhance customer value.
• Collaborate with PMs, QA, and designers to solve complex customer problems.

Requirements

• Extensive experience building scalable backend applications with Node.js.
• Experience with React or a strong interest in contributing across the stack.
• Strong senior-level engineering judgment and a product-oriented mindset.
• Ability to balance technical quality with pragmatic customer impact.
• Fluency in English.
• Must be based in Amsterdam, Cologne, or Poland.
