What you will do

• Define and lead user research strategy aligned with product and organizational goals for complex government systems.
• Design and execute end-to-end studies using qualitative and quantitative methods, including interviews and usability testing.
• Recruit and engage diverse participant groups, specifically those interacting with sensitive and regulated government services.
• Translate research findings into actionable insights and design hypotheses to drive product and policy decisions.
• Mentor and support other researchers to elevate overall research quality and practices across teams.
• Advocate for user needs, accessibility, and usability throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in user research, UX research, or related human-centered research roles.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Proven ability to align research strategy with organizational objectives and product direction.
• Strong command of both qualitative and quantitative research methods across the product lifecycle.
• Experience conducting research in complex, data-sensitive, or regulated environments.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring or guiding other researchers at a staff level.
