**About The Team

** We are expanding our AI Engineering Team to build next-generation AI-powered development workflows. Our goal is to enable AI-assisted full-stack development, allowing users to describe their applications in natural language and have AI generate, modify, and enhance their apps seamlessly. As a Senior AI Software Engineer, you will help define and build the future of AI-powered development at Bubble. You’ll work on LLM-driven product features, design agentic workflows, and develop private models trained on proprietary Bubble datasets. You will collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, and research teams to push the limits of AI-driven development.

**In This Role You'll

**

• Drive the design and implementation of AI-powered products and features that integrate with the Bubble Editor, elevating and evolving how users build with AI.
• Iterate across the stack to make AI UX intuitive build intuitive and powerful UX for AI features, improve the latency and accuracy of our agent and RAG pipelines, and enhance how the system understands and manipulates Bubble’s proprietary application representation.
• Build frameworks for evaluating agent performance to power both product strategy and engineering innovation.
• Translate ambiguous AI challenges into actionable engineering plans, leveraging emergent technologies and experimentation
• Shape the direction of AI initiatives in partnership with product, engineering, and design teams to advance the platform’s capabilities

**About You

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, preferably in backend systems at high-growth startups, with AI/ML experience a plus
• Strong coding skills with Typescript, Python, or other AI-relevant languages.
• Prior experience with agentic AI workflows and chatbot-style LLM interactions is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with high impact and uncertainty

**Compensation

** We offer competitive compensation aligned to tier one markets. Our estimated salary for this role at Bubble ranges from $183,000 to $237,000. Actual pay is determined by multiple factors such as skills, qualifications, experience and market demand.

**Location:

** This is a remote-friendly role open to candidates authorized to work in the U.S. Our team is based in NYC and works Eastern Time.

We're currently set up to hire across most U.S. states.

States we're not currently set up to employ in: AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, ID, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MT, NE, NH, NM, ND, OK, RI, SC, SD, VT, WV, WY. If you're in one of these states but open to relocating to NYC, we'd still love to hear from you.
