What you will do

• Lead the technical design and implementation of LLM-powered features, RAG pipelines, and prompt optimization for internal AI tools.
• Architect and build production-ready AI/ML systems ensuring scalability, reliability, and low latency across multi-cloud environments.
• Develop agentic AI capabilities, including multi-step reasoning, tool use, and context-aware decision-making.
• Implement evaluation pipelines and quality systems to measure model performance, safety, and user satisfaction.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and designers to translate user problems into AI-powered solutions.
• Mentor engineers (L6-L8) through design reviews, architecture discussions, and pair programming.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a significant focus on production AI/ML systems.
• Deep understanding of LLMs, including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG.
• Strong proficiency in Python and at least one additional language (TypeScript, Go, or Java).
• Expertise in backend and distributed systems, API design (REST, GraphQL), and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP).
• Track record of shipping AI-powered products from prototype to production.
• Must be based in the United States in a state where hirify.global has a registered entity.

Nice to have

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Experience with AI agent frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.
• Familiarity with ML evaluation systems and LLM-as-a-judge approaches.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Frontend skills in React or Next.js for full-stack AI development.
