What you will do

• Design and oversee enterprise search infrastructure using vector databases, full-text search engines, and relational databases.
• Develop deep learning-based NLP algorithms to analyze and reformulate search queries.
• Implement and deploy ranking algorithms to improve result relevance and user experience.
• Evaluate algorithm accuracy and optimize based on key performance metrics.
• Analyze end-to-end system performance and lead improvement initiatives.
• Stay current with industry benchmarks and emerging search technologies.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Mountain View, CA.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field (PhD is a plus).
• 5+ years of experience in search, recommendation, or question-answering systems.
• Strong engineering experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and RAG systems.
• Expertise in Python and/or C++.
• In-depth knowledge of relevance measurement, tuning, and modeling.
