What you will do

• Design and build LLM-backed product capabilities for personalized insights and proactive notifications.
• Lead the design and implementation of evaluation frameworks to measure quality, safety, latency, and cost.
• Integrate AI components with personalization layers and structured user context to enable coherent multi-step programs.
• Prototype and productionize workflows across multiple LLM providers, including routing and shadow-mode experimentation.
• Build robust, observable, and cost-aware services while owning operational health and reducing technical debt.
• Partner cross-functionally with product, data science, research, and design teams to shape problem definitions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in AI engineering with a background in backend engineering or applied ML.
• Strong proficiency in Python and comfort working with cloud-native services.
• Demonstrated ability to own systems end-to-end from data pipelines to deployment and monitoring.
• Track record of shipping product-facing features to real users.
• Must be based in the US (excluding AK, DE, IA, MS, MO, NE, SD, VT, WV, WI).

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM evaluation tooling (LLM-as-judge, red-teaming, rubric-based scoring).
• Familiarity with RAG, knowledge graphs, or semantic retrieval systems.
• Background in personalization, recommendation, or ranking systems.
• Exposure to digital health, wearables, or behavior change domains.
• Experience mentoring other engineers or shaping AI/ML best practices.
