Payroll Specialist (Finance)

What you will do

• Process payroll transactions for hourly and salaried employees, including both union and non-union populations.
• Review and validate payroll data, including time entries, pay changes, deductions, and earnings.
• Calculate overtime, shift differentials, and apply collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) to payroll.
• Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and error resolution using advanced Excel.
• Manage payroll data and reporting via SAP SuccessFactors EC Payroll and UKG/Kronos.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance to resolve payroll-related inquiries and provide employee support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 3 years of payroll experience, including exposure to union payroll.
• Hands-on experience with UKG Time & Attendance (Kronos) is required.
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data reconciliation.
• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, wage and hour laws, and industry best practices.
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment in Livermore, CA.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
• Experience with Wisely paycard and ADP Smart Compliance.
