Payroll Specialist

What you will do

• Process payroll for hourly, salary, and multi-location employees using Paychex.
• Review and verify timesheets, resolving discrepancies in coordination with managers.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding payroll tasks, including system setups and final payouts.
• Maintain accurate accrual balances for vacation, sick leave, and other paid time off.
• Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to provide reports, GL files, and payroll data.
• Provide first-line support to employees for HRIS navigation and payroll-related inquiries.

Requirements

• Must be available to work 8:30 am to 5 pm EST
• 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Proficiency in payroll software such as Paychex or Paychex Oasis.
• Strong Excel skills, including data imports and reporting.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local wage-and-hour compliance standards.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug testing as required.
